Guided Reading Leveled Sets
The Youth Services department of Twinsburg Public Library is pleased to offer area educators Guided Reading Leveled Sets. These sets are intended to supplement the titles currently available in the Reading Rooms at Wilcox, Bissell, and Dodge Schools.
Currently, we offer a variety of titles from levels Q through W, and limited sets in levels P, X, and Y. They include biographies, graphic novels, fiction and non-fiction. For more information, click to view our Guided Reading Instructions (pdf). For a list of the leveled sets we have available at this time, click to view our Guided Reading Level Sets (pdf).
Library in a Box
The TPL "Library in a Box" is designed for teachers who need multiple copies of one title, or special collections to supplement their classroom. Materials are funded by the Twinsburg Public Library’s general budget. For more information and a list of the titles available, click to view the Library in a Box (pdf). Call or e-mail to reserve the title that you need.
The Twinsburg Library makes available a separate Teacher Loan Library Card for teachers who are interested. To apply, you must have a valid CLEVNET library card in order to obtain a teacher card. The library card allows teachers to check out materials that would be used in the classroom for 30 days at a time (videos may be checked out for one week). This teacher loan card is also fine exempt, so that teachers do not have to pay overdue charges on materials from our library. Teachers are however, responsible for any materials that are lost, stolen, or damaged. The library asks that teachers use this card to check out materials for the classroom only, not for personal items. Visit the Circulation Desk at the library for more information and to apply for a Teacher Loan Card.
As part of its educational mission, the library permits tutoring on the premises. However, the Library does not sponsor, recommend, or assume liability or responsibility for the work and/or activities of tutors who use available library space. All arrangements must be made between the tutor, student, and parents. Please review our tutoring policy(pdf) for tutoring guidelines and more information.
